On Friday, former New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker celebrated his 39th birthday.

The-now wide receivers coach for the San Francisco 49ers spent six seasons with the Patriots from 2007-2012.

During his Patriots tenure, Welker set multiple team and NFL records, most notably 672 career receptions and seasons with 100 catches or more at five.

Over the entirety of his NFL career, Welker re-wrote the league reception record book.

Welker has three seasons of 115+ receptions, five seasons of 110+ receptions, and five seasons of 105+ receptions, all NFL records for a wide receiver.

From 2009-2012, Welker also set an NFL record with 12 or more receptions in nine consecutive games played.

The Patriots went 8-1 in those games.

On Wednesday, Welker was selected to the Patriots 2010’s All Decade Team.

From 2010-2012, Welker averaged 108 receptions for 1,257 yards, earning three Pro Bowl’s and leading the league in receptions in 2011.

Take a look at some Welker highlights courtesy of the NFL Twitter account to celebrate his birthday below.

Although Welker may be remembered most for what he didn’t accomplish, (0-2 in Super Bowls with New England), he is all but certain to be a future Patriots Hall of Fame member for what he did.
