“Where Is Roger?”
In news first broken by the Boston Herald’s Karen Guregian, NFL Comissioner Roger Goodell will not be in attendance during the AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, choosing instead to be at the NFC Championship game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Of course the whereabouts of Goodell hit a fever pitch in the seasons following Deflategate when it appeared the Commissioner was intentionally avoiding Gillette Stadium despite stating its “not awkward at all.” That all finally ended when he attended a preseason game against Jacksonville in secret and the Patriots home opener on September 7th to a greeting of clown towels.
Regardless of Goodell’s decision, Patriots fans will be rooting hard for yet another opportunity for him to present their team with a sixth Lombardi trophy in Minneapolis on February fourth.
Pats fans were booing so loudly that Dan Patrick thought it was the Chiefs.
