On his Instagram account Friday, New England Patriots linebacker James Harrison addressed the criticism surrounding his signing with the team in a written statement explaining what unfolded earlier this week.
Harrison also directed his attention towards the Steelers players that claimed he didn’t visit injured linebacker Ryan Shazier in the hospital or serve as a veteran presence for younger players Bud Dupree and T.J. Watt. Harrison said people “should ask Shazier, Dupree and Watt if that was accurate.”
The statement can be read in full below in a the slideshow of four pictures.
