Gronk Says He and Cooks “Got in Trouble” For TD Celebration

Rob Gronkowski is a fan of touchdown celebrations.  Bill Belichick apparently is not.

Following Brandin Cooks’ 4th quarter touchdown that put the Patriots up 35-17, Cooks hopped on Gronkowski’s back and rode him back to the sideline, and apparently caught a little bit of heat after it was over.

According to Gronkowski, they were apparently scolded for their antics, although he was conflicted when asked about it after the game.

“That was not planned or anything,” said Gronkowski, who scored two touchdowns of his own in the contest.  “We got yelled at, we’re not allowed to talk about celebrations.  That’s what we got told…but I kind of want to talk about it.  But I kind of don’t, because I’ll get in trouble.  So I don’t know what to do.”

Fortunately Gronkowski just smiled and then wisely decided to do the right thing and not say anything further.

“So it just happened on the spot, it wasn’t planned.  We’ll just keep it there.”

In the meantime, we’ll just enjoy it on our own, which you can see in the video below:
