Stephen Gostkowski Named AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week

On Wednesday, for the first time in 2017 and sixth time in his career, New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski was named AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week for his performance in the teams 33-8 victory over the Oakland Raiders.
Gostkowski earned the award for twice in 2016, twice in 2015 and once in 2009. Gostkowski has also been named Special Teams Player of the Month three times – October 2008, October 2013 and September 2015.

Gostkowski was a perfect four for four on field goal attempts including a franchise record 62 yard attempt just before the clock expired at halftime. He also made a 51, 49 and 29 yard field goals. The game marked the third time Gostkowski has kicked two 50 plus yard field goals in the same game. It also marked the 14th time Gostkowski has kicked and made 4 or more kicks in a single game.
