CBS owns the NFL Week Nine doubleheader, and two games will dominate their network distribution. AN AFC North rivalry will air in most markets early, followed by a game featuring two of the NFL’s most well known quarterbacks.

In the early time slot Pittsburgh at Baltimore is slated to be broadcast in 38 states. The Steelers are coming off a bye and are expecting to have Ben Roethlisberger under center after missing time with a knee injury. Unfortunately that means another week of listening to muting Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts. Following that game Indianapolis is at Green Bay, expected to be beamed into every market with the exceptions of Tennessee, southern California and San Francisco.

With the single game FOX is somewhat evenly spread out with regional broadcasts. Most of the northeast will receive the Giants-Eagles game while coastal Southeast gets Carolina at LA. Dallas at Cleveland goes to most of the southwest while Detroit at Minnesota will be shown throughout much of the northern central time zone. Other than southern California (Panthers-Rams), the Pacific coast gets the Saints-49ers.

A game between two 4-3 teams is one of only two matchups between a pair of winning clubs in Week Nine. In the name of the NFL’s quest for parity, every game gets three stars this week. Arizona, Chicago, Cincinnati, Houston and Washington join the New England Patriots as teams with a bye. As always, there are a handful of markets that are still undecided and some others will opt to change between now and Sunday.
