Following the news the he was released from the New England Patriots on Wednesday, wide receiver Brandon LaFell took to Instagram to thank the fans and Patriots organization for giving him a chance the last two seasons.
After significant contributions to the Patriots Super Bowl run in 2014, including a touchdown in that game, LaFell’s production dropped dramatically following his return to the field after missing the first five games of 2015 with injury to his left foot. He had zero receiving touchdowns in 2015 following seven in 2014 and two more in the playoffs.
