On if he kept the football after the game and what it meant to him:

I didn’t keep it.  It was a good win.

On what they did defensively that gave them some challenges and how did they overcome them:

They played pretty good.  Thought they did a good job in the run game.  Thought they competed pretty hard.  I thought our execution was off at times.  So it was a good win, glad we won.  It’s always good to win on the road.  We’ve got a quick turnaround this week, a division game, so it’ll be fun.

On if it was nice to get Gronk going in the second half and why it was so difficult in the first half:

Yeah, you know…it’s just, they have a good defense and they played well.  I think they definitely did some things that challenged us. We’re going to have to adjust to some things going forward but, you know, he’s a big part of our offense and obviously getting him going, he got in the end zone, which was good to see, it’s been a few weeks for him.  So, you know, we’d like to get him in there more often and I thought we all could have done a better job tonight.  Not very good on 3rd down and I thought we left lot of yards and certainly some point out there.

On the scramble play, what he saw out there:

Yeah, it was a great play.  That ball’s not really designed to go to him. But he just kind of looked at me, saw me scramble, and I got it to him and he kind of barrelled into the end zone.  So it was a really good play by him.  It was a good scramble play.  I thought we all, kind of hung in there at different times and made some plays when kind of the initial part of the play wasn’t there and then adjusted a little bit and found a little room to get the ball into some spots.  So it wasn’t too bad.  Some of those plays, I wish we could have done a better job than some others.

On why they didn’t run as much against them as they had in the past:

I’m not sure, I’ll have to review it but we just I thought we could have executed a lot better in a lot of phases, run, pass, you know, everything, so that’s what we’ll try to do.

On the play where he saw Gronkowski uncovered if that’s a play where he sees him at the line of scrimmage and thinks he might have a shot:

Yeah, we talked about that and you know, that was a good opportunity and it was a play-action fake and the linebacker bit up pretty good.  So Gronk was cleaned in the secondary and he’s pretty dangerous because when he gets going in space, he’s hard to tackle and, you know, made a good play off the free safety there and rumbled into the endzone.  So that was a big play in the game.

On the fact he saw Brady take two footballs, one after LeGarrette Blount’s touchdown, and one he put in his helmet for a keepsake.  Why two footballs?

I didn’t keep them.

Are they going to somebody else?

I don’t know.

On the changes they made on the offensive line after Marcus Cannon went down:

Yeah, that was tough.  That was a big challenge.  That’s part of the NFL.  I think you know we had a great situation with three tackles and then Nate went down and then we brought Cam up and then, you know, whatever, one series into the game, Cam’s in there. So he did a good job, competed really hard.  He was on the team last year and did a good job for us so we wanted to count on him but you know adjusting with Seabass going to the left, that was just a few moving parts there.   But, you know, we’ll need time to settle in and see if we can settle those positions down and all make improvements.
