FOXBORO, MA- The Patriots released offensive lineman, Damon Denson again on Wednesday, and signed running back Jerry Ellison.
Denson’s return was very short. He was released following training camp, but was re-signed when Zefross Moss and Heath Irwin went down with an inury during the first game of the season. With Irwin and Moss back healthy, the Patriots waived Denson to make a roster spot for Ellison.
Ellison played for Tampa Bay last season, and was signed to help fill a runninback spot which finds Harold Shaw, and Kevin Faulk both out with injuries. He may also fill in on special-teams.
