[/FONT][FONT=verdana,sans-serif]The 23-year-old Hernandez was 10-9 with a 5.23 ERA in 26 starts for Seattle's Triple-A team at Tacoma last season. He was 5-0 in his last five starts, finishing the season with 98 strikeouts and 48 walks in 146 1-3 innings. A third-round draft pick of the New York Mets in 2004, he hasn't pitched in the majors.
