Honor for Maroney

Rookie running back Laurence Maroney was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for games played Oct. 22-23. Maroney totaled 100 yards on two kickoff returns against the Bills, including a 74-yarder in the first quarter that put the momentum in the Patriots' favor.

Earlier in the year, Maroney was named NFL Rookie of the Week following a 125-yard rushing performance against the Bengals on Oct. 1.

Whoever votes for these things must really like him. That's two weekly awards he's won. I assume they're deserved. Haven't seen him much. Next Monday night vs. the Vikings though, ESPN!

Actually that'r three. He won the Fed Ex ground player of the week for his game against Cincy.

Okay okay Zippo, we get it. ;)

EDIT: oh weird, a second ago it was showing three of your post.

You can bet they are deserved honors. Nobody is going out of their way to hand these awards to the Pats, after all. Maroney earned his kudos the old fashioned way, on the field, not in the pre-conceived notions of the media. ;)

Yeah, yeah, always blame the computer. ;)

So he's had three awards. OK, ROY then (is there a guy named Bush?).
