This sounds like a plea bargain to me - goodell tells Kraft to shoulder the team fine and he'll lift Brady's suspension.
I was hoping Kraft had some intestinal fortitude, but looks like that was a pipe dream.
Some behind the scenes backslapping and palm greasing going on. goodell has no standing whatsoever to levy such a penalty. He did it all wrong and he would have been lit up in court.
I'm thinking Kraft doesn't have the stomach for the fight.

We'll see when Brady's appeal comes up, but it has been quiet lately, which would be understandable if a backroom deal has been made.
