I was wondering if NFL contracts are insured against injury like in MLB? If Brady isn't healthy going into next season could his salary be paid by insurance, giving the Pats room to franchise Cassle for next season?

I had my day of misery following the loss like everyone else, but after a little time to cool off I don't think we are in a bad position. Sure the team needs some upgrades, but overall, this was a team that went 18-1! I bet there is only one team in the league that wouldn't trade seasons with us...
