Im firmly aboard the Patrick Paul bandwagon at 34.
Wouldn’t mind trading up from the 3rd round to get a WR. There should still be some good choices available there.
Id be ok with a trade down, especially if we can get a 1 next year. Those types of deals seem to be history, though.
Paul, Suamataia, Mitchell, ministry, Dejean, all sound good to me.
JJ McCarthy had some appeal from a nostalgic point of view being a Michigan QB. The fact that the Wolverine Brady and Spartan Hoyer had several stints together brings me comfort knowing that the Tar Heel and Wolf (Wolfpack member for singular?) now are teammates on America’s true team.
It was really fun picking third and I appreciate the new experience of having a high pick and the intrigue that surrounds it. I’m ready to go back to annually selecting at 32 now.
At this point, I’m expecting Maye and am fine with it but will be equally excited about JD. I’m a lot more excited for the next twenty minutes than I thought I’d be.
Drake Maye QB NC
Patrick Paul OT Hou
Jalen McMillan WR Was
Tip Reiman TE Ill
Matt Goncalves OT Pitt
Tyron Tracy jr RB Pur
Kiran Amegadjie OT Yale
Kalen King CB PSU
If I was San Diego (LA now I guess but whatever), I’d want to keep any trade talks as quiet as possible. The extreme likelihood that he won’t be moved would alienate Herbert and create a very awkward situation.
