I agree. JJ will probably turn out to be the better QB, or at least a solid player. Not so sure about Drake. The picking of Maye seems like a Bob/J Kraft special. Hopefully the Krafts do not dictate the rest of the draft. A trade down would have been better; the elite WRs and OLs are now...

You make a good case (remember that Mac had great receivers also) and if you are right, then it is yet another reason to trade down, at least in my book (i.e. trade down no matter who is available at 3), and let some other team bet the house on a QB gamble while the Patriots build a solid...

I would prefer Daniels to Drake the Mistake. If Daniels is there at 3, take him. If not, trade back.

Interesting article about how tricky some positions are to to draft, especially WRs and QBs. In reading this article, it is clear that the best pick for the Patriots would be center with a hit rate of 92%. That would go over well, eh?:rolleyes...

I have to agree with you. The defense was really good last year so there is hope if the draft is well managed this year. Another encouraging sign was that there we no draft day disasters last year; the top picks were excellent. Sure we whiffed on Puka Nacua, but so did everyone else until the...
