DRAFT 2024 2nd Round Pick - WR Ja'Lynn Polk

Yeah, sweet, wasn't that N'Keal Harry's draft profile? If we're talking about contested catch ability in college, it means he didn't get complete separation in college. He's gonna get smoked in the NFL. Nobody notes his route running ability or his suddenness, which are two KEY components to succeed where everybody's fast and strong.
Exactly. Harry's profile word for word. As you said contested catches in college is bad because he is supposed to smoke his DBs as almost all of them are future civilians.

Hope I am wrong. We should have just traded into first for a stud WR prospect.

So, they passed on Adonai Mitchell? I've seen this movie before (in 2 consecutive 2nd round drafts under BB), and it didn't work out too well. Perhaps there is a chance that we'll be pleasantly surprised.
I found out recently that Adonai Mitchell has a diabetes issue that affects his personality. Like he is really hard to handle when his blood sugar is low. I believe this is why he is falling in the draft. Otherwise he probably would have been taken in the 1st.

I don't know a lot about Polk. But I see why the Patriots might have decided to go with a 'safer' pick at 37.

More wide receivers with worse 40 times than Ja'Lynn Polk (not to show he's better, but to show how meaningless this number is):

Deandre Hopkins 4.57
Jacoby Meyers 4.62
Puca Nakua 4.57
Cooper Kupp 4.62

One of the guys on the ESPN broadcast said "perfect pick, 37.5 ft vertical, super smart, love the pick, love the pick"

I haven't done a deep dive on him but like it's being reported now, I've heard he gives off Puca Nacua vibes.

I'm in. Keep cookin' Wolf.

I was also reading about how AD takes plays off and doesn't show interest in blocking.

So then you think Rome Odunze is gonna be a bust? He had more contested catches than Polk. Almost like that is kind of a theme with that Washington WR corp. Maybe it's because Penix didn't put it on point for them.
Not crazy about this guy when Mitchell was still there, but he looks better than Odunze on film to me.
