I like Elf.Top 5:
A Christmas Carol w Alastair Sim as Eb Scrooge ( or A Christmas Carol - 1984 with George C Scott)
A Christmas Story (we've all been that kid)
Christmas Vacation (best rant ever, plus Cousin Eddy)
It's a Wonderful Life (just a true classic)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (who doesn't feel like a little kid when this comes on?)
FIFY
Elf? Really? Will Ferrell is an overrated hack - even with the star power of Asner/Caan/Newhart his level of suck drags the production down.
Bill Simmons voted for Ferrell as the best SNL performer of all-time, he might make my top 10.I like Elf.
Will Ferrell is not a hack. C'mon..

Top Five Christmas Movies:
Die Hard
Christmas Vacation
Christmas Story
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
Lethal Weapon
Yes. I'll take Bad Santa over any overly sentimental Christmas "classic" 11 times out of 10.Bad Santa... anyone?
How could you leave out A Christmas Story?Christmas movies are ones which the theme is based around Christmas.
Die Hard is based on a man who kills a bunch of high-end, murderous thieves during an office Christmas party.

Elf
Christmas Vacation
It's a Wonderful Life

His type of slapstick humor (which my wife loves) mostly bores me, but I loved him in “Elf”. Regarding his SNL tenure, again, lots of strikeouts, but I have to admit that his “more cowbell” (how did Christopher Walken keep that deadpan expression?) and “cheerleader” bits were among my favorite SNL skitsI honestly don't see it. He wasn't funny to me in SNL, and hasn't gotten any better. Harry Shearer, Jane Curtin, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd - and I haven't even touched the 80's. Will Ferrell isn't worthy of carrying their loaded depends.
It’s a Wonderful Life is a stone-cold classic. Every year my wife and I watch it either in black and white or color and both of us cry when Harry says George is the richest man in town.Elf

Yea I wouldn't put Will Ferrell in the top 10 of SNL cast members either. The list is made up of legends. I just like Elf.I honestly don't see it.
