    40 mph winds in Chicago?

Exactly. Chicago play Tampa 2. Brady kills Tampa 2. Welker, Woodhead (NLF), Branch and the TE Twins will love this. Long day for Urlacher et al.

Get rid of football helmets (link)

If you don't wear a helmet, you quickly learn where not to put your head - though most rugby players learn how to tackle safely in High School. Which is not to say that rugby doesn't have a major problem with injuries (predominantly neck injuries), both at the tackle and in the scrum (the...

    Colts

Bounce! Am I really going to be the only Pats fan in Indy next weekend?

    Colts

Anyone else heading to the Oil Can? I'm flying into Chicago on the Saturday afternoon and driving down to Indy. Would love to know where Pats fans will be hanging out on Saturday night and Sunday before the game. What's Indy like for tailgating?

London game tix for Pats-Buccaneers going fast

erm.... no thanks. We want to see real games. And I can see that one goiung down great with the players - your award for an outstanding year is.... a weekend in London in February.... Besides, the Pro Bowl/Super Bowl 10 day party has sorted out the "what do we do with the Pro Bowl" problem.

    London tickets

There will be plenty of chances to meet up for pints - quiet and otherwise - over the weekend! But that gives me an idea; as we get closer to the weekend I'll post a thread on UKPatriots.com asking for some local advice on good pubs. It might help you to avoid being ripped off by West End...

    London Trip - 10/25/09

Re: London - 10/29/08 The UKPatriots are planning a series of events around the weekend. Currently being discussed are: 1) Friday Evening. UK Patriots Dinner. A sit down dinner - possibly at a very large curry house (they can handle a party from 100-500), but still informal. Open...

Springsteen doing the Super Bowl this year

Ridiculous statement; his last two albums have been his strongest since the late 80's, and he's still one of the best stadium artists around. My biggest fear when I heard this was of the Pats getting to the Super Bowl and losing; I didn't really mind trashing my one Tom Petty CD - and I still...

My first game at Gillette Stadium, by OEP, age 37 1/3

That was the third annual UK Patriots road trip (and they're not all English - there was at least one Welshman and a Scot in the party). Unfortunately, I missed this years trip - I was moving house last weekend, but I will be in Baltimore on Monday. There were gatherings in the Pour House...

    Monday night vs. Baltimore?

I've exchanged emails with Doug about this weekend (I tailgated with a small Murphy's group before the Carolina game a couple of years back). Hopefully some of you Murphy's boys will get tickets. I'll watch this space, but in the absence of a tailgate I'll head over to Pickles on Monday. See...

Any Pats fans going to Pats vs Ravens

I'm looking forward to it. I get into Dulles late on Saturday, heading up to Baltimore on Sunday morning. I'm staying in a B&B about 0.5 miles from the stadium, and will get there early. I'd be happy to throw a six-pack or two into the pot if anyone doesn't mind an English tailgate-crasher.

    Favorite 'marquee' NE play

Yeah; I can go along with that. His beating Urlacher against the Bears last year was a thing of beauty - even though it looked like a slow motion replay.

Should any future Patriots QB wear #11?

I have to say no to Bledsoe, Brown or Bruschi. Whilst all were/are undoubtedly great Patriots, I would have to say no to jersey retirement. We already have too many numbers retired - many of whom are no longer remembered by most Patriots fans. The current list reads: Bruce Armstrong 78 Gino...
