Pretty sure the NFL has to guarantee a certain # of viewers so the stations do have some recourse. Not sure if that is for the entire season or per market basis.
No way would networks agree to a 10 year deal without protecting themselves.
Stop giving Exponent an excuse that it was sloppiness or an error. They had to arrive at a predetermined result being paid by a client, so they made a "mistake" here or there. Never in favor of Brady.

I'd take an uncompressed 720/1080p signal on my 42" monitor over a watered down h264 4K file any day of the week.
Look at it this way: before deflatefate they would have had to negotiate money % with the union. Now they can negotiate article 46 and pocket the money. I.e. 18 game season in exchange for revenue sharing. They win.
