Patriots didn't see 'value' in using franchise tag - Ben Volin - Volin has his "On Football" column this morning, and writes that while the Patriots still may re-sign their top free agents, Julian Edelman and Aqib Talib, they apparently don't view either as must-haves after not using the franchise tag on either player.

BOSTON HERALD:

This time, Pats must figure things right - Ron Borges - Borges has a column this morning on the fact the Patriots need to get it right when it comes to their two biggest free agent situations, as well as how they handle Danny Amendola's future.

MASSLIVE:

Bill Belichick's wish could be granted: NFL considering experiment with extra-point attempts - Nick Underhill - Underhill has an entry focusing on the fact the league is considering having teams line up at the 25-yard line for extra points, which would have the kicks coming from 43 yards out, as opposed to the current 20.

Felger: 'Captain Tanguay, bring us to Revis Island' - In this entry Michael Felger tells Gary Tanguay he believes Darrelle Revis coming to the Patriots is a "little bit of a pipe dream", although he'd still love to see the veteran cornerback end up in Foxboro.
