Patriots QB Tom Brady Back At Work
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady missed Wednesday's practice with an undisclosed illness, but it appears the veteran signal-caller has returned to work as the team continues preparing for the Denver Broncos this weekend.
According to to the Boston Globe's Shalise Manza Young, Brady was at Gillette Stadium Thursday morning, one day after missing the team's practice session. His absence Wednesday gave back-up quarterback Ryan Mallett the opportunity to take all the reps on both sides of the football, with Mallett this week also trying to get the defense ready to take on Peyton Manning and has been doing his best imitation of him.
Brady was also sick last week but didn't miss a practice, but apparently he hasn't been able to shake whatever is ailing him just yet. Also seemingly affected by an illness was long-snapper Danny Aiken, who, like Brady, sat out Wednesday's session. According to reports, additional hand-sanitizing stations were reportedly set up in the locker room to likely help prevent any further players from getting sick.
The team is back at it as they continue getting ready to square off in this weekend's AFC Championship game against the Broncos in Denver.
