He may have been the hero on Sunday, but it appears the Patriots may have to battle the Jets without wide receiver Danny Amendola.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Amendola's status for Thursday night appears to be uncertain, and he reports that the receiver will likely be sitting this one out:
#Patriots WR Danny Amendola, who turned in a gutty 104-yard performance in the opener, is almost certain to miss the Jets game, source says

The news comes following an earlier Boston Globe report, which said the veteran missed the walk through portion of today's practice session.
That leaves them severely shorthanded against the Jets. Tight end Zach Sudfeld reportedly suffered a hamstring injury during the win over the Bills and his injury status is unknown at that point. So in the event Aaron Dobson isn't back from his own injury, that could leave them with relying on Julian Edelman, Josh Boyce, Kenbrell Thompkins, and Matthew Slater at the receiver position, and just Michael Hoomanawanui at tight end - barring a roster move.
