According to Mike Petraglia of WEEI.com, Patriots runningback Shane Vereen (foot) is among three players who have been downgraded to Out for Sunday's opener down in Tennessee against the Titans.
Also reportedly downgraded to "Out" for the game were OL Nick McDonald (right shoulder) and rookie CB Alfonzo Dennard (hamstring).
Vereen doesn't come as much of a surprise after he didn't participate in practice all week. McDonald didn't participate in Wednesday's session and was limited both Thursday and Friday, while Dennard was limited in Friday's session but he appears to still be hampered enough where he won't be able to play this afternoon.
The Patriots are already banged up in the secondary, with Sterling Moore and Patrick Chung both battling injuries but appear to be ready to play this afternoon.
We'll have the full inactive list in a bit.
