The Patriots have already released nine players so far, with a couple of notable names that stood out.
Veteran runningback Sammy Morris and linebacker Eric Moore were two guys that stood out for fans who are awaiting today's transactions, although the other seven weren't exactly surprising.
According to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com, among those other longshot players let go so far are defensive end Markell Carter, defensive end Alex Silvestro, linebacker Aaron Lavarias, defensive tackle Landon Cohen, running back Eric Kettani, linebacker Niko Koutouvides and receiver Tiquan Underwood.
We'll have more in a bit once the other names are released.
