Apparently head coach Bill Belichick wasn't impressed with Wes Welker's press conference earlier this week where he made 10 different foot references - obviously done intentionally to make fun of Jets head coach Rex Ryan.

Welker was out on the field to fair catch a punt, but was kept out of the first series.  Julian Edelman got the start in his place, and after driving down to the Jets 28, Tom Brady was picked off for the first time in 340 attempts and it was returned 58-yards down to the New England 12.  Fortunately the turnover didn't hurt them, as the Jets would go on to miss a 30-yard field goal.

Welker would return on their second offenseive series.
