The Ravens are still fuming after yesterday’s 23-20 loss to the Patriots yesterday, and it’s clear that there’s no love lost between these two football teams.
The player in the locker room that sounded the most frustrated was linebacker Terrell Suggs, who got into it with quarterback Tom Brady late in the game and is already looking forward to the next time the two teams meet, which he feels will be in the postseason.
“(Brady) sometimes found some spots, made some plays,” linebacker Terrell Suggs told the Boston Herald after the game. “But like I said, he just better hope he don’t see us again.”
“We already know that story,” Suggs said when asked what would happen if the teams meet again. “Do you really need me to answer that? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. We’re a dangerous playoff team, so we look forward to the rematch.”
The trash talking continued Monday morning when Brady made his weekly appearance on Dennis & Callahan on WEEI, with Brady responding to Suggs comments.
"He had his chance," said Brady. "Maybe if he gets another chance he can try to back those words up."
Brady, who said he was "pretty pissed off all day," got off to a slow start but finished 27-of-44 for 292 yards and a touchdown. It was a solid performance, and for all the Ravens trash talking after it was over, he pointed out that over the years New England has gotten the best of them.
"You know, we've played guys a lot, and they've beat us one time in all the times that I've played them," said Brady. "They talk a lot for beating us once in nine years."
Be sure and check out this article in the Baltimore Sun, which gives you an interesting perspective of how they’re viewing yesterday’s loss. They call Brady a "weasel" and say he looks like David Cassidy. It's a pretty entertaining read.
