An undrafted free agent signing by the Patriots out of the University of Mississippi in 2012, Bolden has spent seven of his eight seasons in New England, winning two Super Bowls. In 2018 Bolden played for the Miami Dolphins.
Over his NFL career, Bolden has primarily seen action on special teams, but has 11 career touchdowns when used on offense.
Bolden was one of a league high eight Patriots to opt out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. He joined teammates Dont’a Hightower, Patrick Chung, Matt LaCosse, Marcus Cannon, Marquise Lee, Danny Vitale and Najee Toran.
Since Bolden didn’t participate in 2020, his contract, along with all other opt-outs, will be deferred by one season.
