Yep, Branch adds 48yds to his 276yds receiving in this game, his 3rd SB, and he passes Andre Reed (who played in 4). With 88yds Branch would be #2 all time passing Lynn Swann (also 4 SB's). Forget about number one - Jerry Rice 589yds in 4 SB's. Wow.

Pretty cool. Gotta be a good chance he gets to #3.

Branch (SB39) and Welker (SB42) also share the record for most receptions in a SB game, with Rice and Dan Ross.

Branch also has 21 receptions in two appearances, putting him behind only Rice (33 in 4) and Reed (27 in 4). I don't see him catching Reed in Indy, but you never know.

im pretty sure branch will have at least 7 catches and 89 yards....so i predict he takes #2 in both yards and receptions

Imagine if Branch hadn't missed the first Giants/Pats SB. He'd likely be number 3 all-time already had he played in it, with an excellent chance to be number 2. He'd had never caught Rice either way. Rice averaged nearly 150yds/SB, that's is unreal, even with Montana chucking it to him.
