The delay before the results of the MRI were reported got me thinking. As I understand it, a torn labrum is often the result of "subluxation", which was Papelbon's diagnosis. Here is a report on that subject:http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/orthopedicsurgery/labrumtear.html
Remember, "shoulder strengthening" was also the program designed for Pedro after his labrum was torn. I think it's worth considering that the Red Sox, who are very savvy, are hiding the condition of Papelbon's shoulder, for whatever reason, and that there is still a chance that he has a torn labrum, whatever was said to the press. That possibility is upsetting to say the least; I just don't trust what the Sox say to the media about injuries any more since they embraced the BB model.
