am i doing it right?

No need to wait until tomorrow:

Manning threw his 200th career touchdown pass in the third quarter, passing Phil Simms for most in Giants franchise history. Simms can parse it however he chooses, the guy who spent his career being the little brother is elite.

And if he’s not, it’s the definition of the word that needs a second look.

The D are the ones that make Manning look good. He's thrown 15 TD's to 11 Int's? Those aren't Elite numbers. I don't even see him as a top 5 QB in the league.

he's not, but he plays at exactly what is necessary to win in the games that count

It's something MMQB underscores, and why mediots shouldn't vote for anything. They're incredibly subjective and all about storylines. Clearly bad spot last night by at least a foot and after review allows Ravens to play for OT. No big deal according to Mr. King. Better to have record setting run on checkdown to allow for OT than a game ending stop on 4th down. Ref misses 4th quarter turnover in game where losing team had already turned it over 8 times, unacceptable. Steelers still had a shot and ref took it away.

Guys must be ineligible for consideration for player of the week mention if you didn't play within 12 hours of Peter penning his weekly missive. ST player of the week made 2 38 yard pressure kicks.

Not that it matters but King is an at large HOF voter. And one of the more impressionable writers on the football beat. Not to mention the reason most young mediots ever get a shot anywhere is based on Peter's recommendations. And that appears to carry over to internet entrepreneurs like PFF whom he elevated to significance like experts rather than taking them for what they are. God help the vote going forward...

So ... where's the sarcasm in the OP? These headlines all pretty much seem to be playing out. :)

Watching NFLN and they were discussing how Manning will hold up rest of the way. Someone said "they better hope he does because as Peyton goes so goes the Broncos."

Right. OK, national media, once more with feeling: THE BRONCOS DEFENSE TOOK THEM TO THE DIVISION PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR WITH TIM TEBOW AT QUARTERBACK!!!!!!

Thank you for listening.

"The patriots continue to run up the score, voted most unsportsmanlike team in the league"
"The giants make gutsy move, and keep the foot on the gas. The giants are heroes among men"
