Watch a few of the one-on-one pass-rush drills, and it would be tough to leave without noticing No. 91. When the offensive linemen go head-to-head with the defensive linemen, Myron Pryor is standing out. Simple as that.

With a motor that doesn’t stop and a rare initial burst, the third-year former sixth round pick from Kentucky may be primed to make a big move. A big move for a smaller guy, anyway.

He seemed to be making some good contributions as an interior sub rusher his rookie year, then got hurt in year 2. I wouldn't be surprised for him to take the role Mike Wright had early on before he started playing more. A spark from the inside on passing downs.

Wait a second, that's not a PFF article.

At what point was Pryor injured last season ? Is there any tape from last year on him ?

Some other training camp reported that Pryor looked powerful and went undefeated in one on one drills.

Will definately keep an eye on him.

Other than the one where he rearranged Lord Favres jaw?

He always looked good as a sub rusher. His problem has been he can't stay healthly.

Myron Pryor was a very heavily recruited high school player. He never seemed to produce to expectations in college, thus his slide to the sixth round.

Maybe the intrinsic talent is showing through, finally. His game was always a penetrating one gap interior defensive tackle much like Thomas or Randle from the Vikings, a decade ago. That is not the usual Belichick defensive philosophy.

Could be studly in the 4-3. Has always showed up with a nice initial burst in sub packages when healthy. Maybe he splits time with Fat Albert?

Man, it's impossible not to be excited about this defensive line.

Actually, it's a pretty nice article. :)

I think Pryor has a great shot at making the cut.

I thought in 2009 people were excited to even see him on the field, but other than displaying some quickness, he didn't do much on the field. I saw the same thing while he was healthy last year.
This is certainly encouraging news thuogh, because having quality interior rushers in sub packages is an important thing.
My instinct is that the potential is there because he made the team and got some playing time even though he didn't do much with it, so there has to be more to him than what we saw on the field.
