The last thread got a lot of debates going.
I was hoping for just predictions that we look back at
the end of the 2009 season.

So please just your predictions
- Please do not debate anyone's prediction.

here are the predictions made from last attempted thread.
-------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------

NEGIRLPATSFAN :
Josh head coach in Denver
Tom Brady takes over for Josh
Cassell QB for Pats
-----------------------------------------
tanked_as_usual:
regardless of brady's condition, I do not believe cassel will be here.........the pats will get what they can for him, and after a year in the system, o'connell will be ready for whatever they throw at him..........if o'connell gets a chance in 2009 and succeeds, they you can start wondering about the future of brady here....

------------------------------------
THEARCHIVES:
To recap, my prediction is, the Pats go all out on defense by signing quality players, not those scrubs they signed last season.
---------------------------------------
jbb9s:
1. TB comeback player of the year

2. Patriots get 2 seed at 13-3

3. Wilfork will eat more than 207 big macs in 2009
-----------------------------------------
Frezo:
KO is the game 1 starter.
--------------------------------------
T_Brady12:
Randy Moss scores 25 touchdowns.
---------------------------------
fair catch fryar:
Patriots secondary leads the league in interceptions, DL leads the league in QB sacks, and Brady wins Superbowl MVP.
------------------------------
Richter:
2009 (off)season predictions? Brady comes back as good as ever, Cassel traded to Minnesota for a first round pick, Mayo wins DPOY, the Patriots draft George Selvie or Everette Brown in the first round and William Moore in the second, Meriweather goes to the pro-bowl, Brett Favre curses us with another season of "manipulate the media" as only he can do, and I repeat as the PatsFans.com Keeper League champion.
------------------------
dhamz:

Matt Cassel signs the franchise tender and remains in NE as insurance against Brady not being ready to start the season.

Brady does play in 2009 but not 16 games.

Pats win the AFC East.

Brett Favre returns because he isn't giving up the $ remaining on his contract.

Jets finish last in AFC East.
-----------------------------------------------
Deus Irae:
1.) Iran and Israel will sign a long-lasting peace agreement

2.) Costa Rica will become a major global power

3.) Republicans and Democrats will work together, with no agendas, to get our nation back on track

4.) Human regeneration will be discovered, allowing all injuries to heal almost instantly

5.) Friendly aliens from Alpha Centauri will arrive on our planet and will give us the secret to portable, perpetual energy devises which will change the very foundation of society

6.) The Jets will win the Super Bowl
-----------------------------------------
billdgo3484:
Patriots remain healthy
---------------------------------------
eternal:
1. Maroney will play in at least 14 games and have a 1200+ yard season, or less yardage but average close to 4.5ypc if Morris/Jordan are still with the team and healthy throughout the season. Mr. Maroney will quickly turn that great season into BIG free agent money which the Pats won't even attempt to match.

2. Seymour will also have a great season, and sign elsewhere for big money. Pats won't attempt to match.

3. The team will add a ILB prospect on the 1st day of the draft. He will turn out to be ~75-80% as good as Mayo, but more of a Ted Johnson run-stuffer type. This will make a Mayo-Guyton-draft pick-Alexander rotation at ILB.

4. Bruschi, Harrison, Seau will headline the shadow roster.

5. A TE will be drafted to play behind and learn from Watson, so he can take over when Watson signs with another team after the season.
--------------------------------------------------------
dr:
The Jests will suck.
-------------------------------------------
TheGodInAGreyHoodie:
NE wins three games at the LOS.

1. during the regular season.
2. the AFCCG
3. SB.
--------------------------------
Patriot_in_NY Patriot_in_NY is offline
In the Start:
Brady starts game one, wins CBPOY honors next year.
--------------------------------------------
richpats:
Brady retires, Cassel signs long-term w/ NE.
------------------------------------------------
fgssand:
Brady RETURNS....wins 3 of next 4 SB and Brady & BB walk off into the sunset. Patriot nation lives happily ever after, secure in having become the greatest of all time.
------------------------------------------------

Okay, since I'm a Jets fan (hey all) I'll give my Predictions for both the Jets & Pats.

New England
1. Tom Brady will start September 13th/14th against ???
2. The Patriots will win the AFC East in 2009
3. Brady will be Comeback Player Of The Year
4. Laurence "Kool-Aid" Maroney will gain 1,000+ yards
5. Wes Welker will again lead the league in receptions

Jets
1. Brett Favre will retire
2. Kellen Clemens will be the starting QB
3. The Jets will go no better than 9-7, again, but probably worse than that
4. Bill Callahan will be promoted to Head Coach
5. Leon Washington will lead the league in 40+ yard plays, again
--------------------------------------------------
JR4:
If McDaniels leaves, the QB of the team he ends up with will be Cassel.

Alrighty then. I'll just put my predictions back up.

1. Brett Favre actually retires.

2. We win the Super Bowl. :D

3. Tom Brady does not retire.

are you permitted to start another identical thread that was locked?

the pats win the AFC East

Pats start of slow w/ brady, and then the whole team adjusts and gets better

we will have 1 other rookie LB start a lot of snaps on defense

Maroney will do great next season

The pats will have 8 people go to the pro bowl

brett favre retires for real

the jets and fins have no better then .500 records

I predict that like all other threads at some point this one will get off topic. Just like the last prediction thread.

I predict that someone will get rattled at the sight of a prediction and try to prove the prediction "wrong" LOL

I predict that Matt Cassel has more TDs, more yards, and a higher passer rating than Eli Manning.

McDaniels stays

Pioli goes

Seau is on the 53 at some point, same with Rodney

Brady returns but struggles (by his standards)

Michael Crabtree is the 2nd overall pick in this years draft
