I really am alll for optimism, but seeing them for that little time, seeing that sleepy a performance in the Mac Attack... it was fun, but there was not much to like yet on (starting) offense. We also lost one projected recurring offensive role player for at least a few games, and he had the promise to bring an "x factor" to the game.

I really do hate doomposting, and generally you can't say "oh man are we in trouble" from a preseason game, but you can definitely say more questions left than answers. "On the third series we didn't go three-and-out" isn't a baby step though, not in the right direction, at least.

I do like how amped the D is to be the MAN, but this is in preseason against Carolina with their passing arm tied behind their back. The good news is that the 2s played better than the 1s. The bad news is the same.
