Right on all counts imo. Belichick was trying to reset his WR unit for the rest of Brady's career and believed he had the cushion to do so but ended up suffering a number of key losses that put the youngsters front and center before they were ready for prime time. Brady has been off but it's because he is not confident in where his receivers are going to be, not because he suddenly aged by ten year. And the offense is going to get better as the season progresses and will be much better down the road because of the changes they have made.
