Since Peyton Mannning entered the league as a Colt in 1998 his all-time record in Foxboro is 2-10. That's right. He's won here twice. And lost 10 times. 3 of those losses can be attributed to Drew Bledsoe. He's no Tom Brady, but was a hellavu QB and a well deserved Patriot HOFer who helped save this franchise from becoming the St. Louis Zephers to what we have today.
Mannings stat line in Foxboro, regardless of weather conditions (the Colts would visit early when we were in the same division), regardless of opposing QB's:
292-474 Comp-Att 61.6% 3202 Yds 23 TD's 23 INT's plus 20 Sacks losing 143 Yds. That adds up to a robust 77.4 QB rating. For a guy who's Career rating is 97.9 this would seem a significant anomaly. It's not. His records in cold weather separated from the Foxboro anomaly are much better. His last win our house was Nov. 5th 2006. 8 years ago. Tom Brady's first official start and win was on Sept. 30th, 2001. The opposing QB? Yep. 44-13 blowout. Mannings QB rating that day? 48.2. Many here I'm sure remember the Jan. 18 2004 playoff game with snow falling. He got intercepted 4 times (3 by eventual HOFer Ty Law), completed just 49% of his passes, and was sacked 4 times losing 29 yards for the second worst QB rating of his career of 35.5 (Dec 2001 against Mia he had 35.0 game).
