Unreal ... that a guy that sucks gets 7.5 million to continue sucking ... can't make this stuff up. So Penny will earn double what Jon Lester will make this year.

Sources: Brad Penny agrees to deal with St. Louis Cardinals - ESPN

The St. Louis Cardinals and right-handed pitcher Brad Penny have agreed to a deal, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney.

Penny's one-year contract is worth $7.5 million and contains $1.5 million in performance bonuses, according to sources. The deal is pending a physical, which will likely be done on Tuesday.

That's good for the Sox ain't it? Brady Penny has shown that he is strictly a National League pitcher, and that's where he will remain. I think he will do a good job for the Cardinals in the 3rd or 4th spot in the rotation for them.

What a league. Penny is HORRIBLE. I can't believe someone paid him that much money.

Man that is a ton of money to pay for a #4 ... doesn't say much for their development system.
