Chad Finn went through a nice exercise to determine which Patriot statistically best served their respective uniform number.

Patriots by the numbers - Boston.com

I can only come up with 2 legitimate arguements:

#34- He had Tebucky Jones. Gotta consider Kevin Turner but that could go either way.

#84- He had Daryl Stingley. Not to sound cold-hearted, but I'd challenge that at least statistically, Shawn Jefferson had a better career as a Pat. I refuse to say Ben Watson was a better player than DS b/c i don't think he was.

Some of the "Greatest in the numbers" were easy.. Some, WOW, it's hard to believe the Pats have had that sort of talent over the years..

Shawn Jefferson was the man. He was my favorite Patriot as a kid.

Ben Coates, Troy Brown, Tedy Bruschi, Tom Brady.

Of course, Hannah and Armstrong as well.

I was sad when they let Jefferson walk as a FA because he still had what it took..
