The Dolphins reportedly were considering at one point earlier this month the possibility of using the franchise tag on tackle Vernon Carey, linebacker Channing Crowder, and safety Yeremiah Bell.
In the end, they used it on none of them.
In the end, they didn’t need to; all have signed long-term deals.
The last of the trio to agree to terms was Bell. Per a league source, it’s a four-year, $20 million deal, with $10 million guaranteed.
Bell will play strong safety this year for the Fins; newly-signed Gibril Wilson will play free safety.
