I think it's back-up-the-truck time in Foxborough. There really aren't that many players on this team for whom the Patriots would get much of anything in return. Probable scenario is that he gets released, or traded for somebody else's mistake.
Edelman almost muffed a punt in the AFC championship game vs. KC. He actually tried to touch it but missed, at least according to the replay officials.
I suggest reading this article: Home Field Advantage and Extra Innings: Some Continuing Research
Even if extra inning baseball games were switched to sudden death, home teams would still have an advantage.
I agree with many of the previous posts--tackle is the biggest need and Onwenu isn't the solution. He seems like a guy who would like to be paid tackle money to play guard. Trade out of #3, draft 2 tackles with the top 2 picks, sign a couple of free agent tackles, and put a patch over the hole...
It doesn't matter if the players knew the rules or not--seems like the coaches didn't. I don't buy the argument that the third possession is the most important. KC proved that theory wrong.
My analogue is this: if baseball started extra inning games with a coin toss, would any team ever...
I can maybe understand why they can't change the jerseys, but why not change the color of the pants? Are there that many people buying uniform pants from the Pats Pro Shop?
My guess is the Falcons, but if I had to pick a NY team, I'd pick the Giants. I don't think BB would ever work for Woody, and I think Wellington Mara would back up the truck to bring BB back to the Jints. Sorry Brian, here are some nice parting gifts. BTW if you're interested, there may be an...
Falcons. Arthur Blank is 81--he's in win now mode. BB becomes President or Director of Football Operations (adios Rich McKay), Vrabel is HC and Josh is the OC. I don't really think Blank would care how much that would cost (maybe not that much, considering the offsets in their three...
Mike Lombardi tells a story about telling Al Davis not to hire Art Shell as coach. Mike told his wife afterwards that if Art Shell turns out to be a good coach, Al Davis would keep Lombardi around, but if he wasn't, Davis would fire him. Lombardi was right. Twice.
Yes, lots of missed opportunities. I especially agree with Chubb over Sony, and anyone over NKeal Harry. But every team misses players in every draft. There are 30 teams who missed on Lamar Jackson. Probably every team would trade the guy they picked in the 2017 third round for Cooper Kupp...
