Re: Welker deal a non-issue
I am a Patriots and Texas Tech fan. However, I am more into college football then the pros, but when I heard that the Pats were signing Wes, I decided to register to talk about it.
Re: Welker deal a non-issue
Not anymore. Yahoo! has got confirmation that an investigation is now underway:

Seems to me like Carl Francis was just denying it while the investigation gets underway.
So, can we take this as being the 100% truth? Why would one source say otherwise and this guy says nothing is being investigated? Could this Carl Francis just be using the old lie to the media trick until after the investigation?
Re: NFLPA Accuses Patriots, Fins of violating CBA on Welker
What is the worse that could happen? Does the trade get reversed and the picks returned? Or do the Patriots keep Welker and Miami keeps the picks but they both get fined?
If the Pats balk at the 2nd, then it is obvious he won't be leaving Miami. The Dolphins are not dumb enough to accpet less when they are primed for a 2nd rounder.
The Dolphins likely want one of the Patriots 1st round picks. IMO a trade would probably be something like this:
Dolphins Get: 1st round pick
Patriots Get: Wes Welker and a 4th round pick
