From the little pieces I have heard so far there wasn't anything about him being totally wrong about how Belichick built the roster. Furthermore, we are one of the youngest teams in the league and poised to smash it for another couple of years at least.
I just wanted to bump this post to the top to ask a quick question...
After the Mankins trade and the Chiefs debacle these guys were really piling on. It also included the release of Kenbrell.
I remember specifically Mazz droning on and on in his very whiny voice and saying "What are we doing...
This. I think this score is on the shoulders of the offense. You can't leave the defense out there an entire quarter and think good things will happen. If Brady and Co. don't fix this now, this one is over.
No kidding. Screw you Bill for cheaping out and letting this guy sign with Denver. If Peyton doesn't win we need to permanently remove him from the greatest conversation. No one has had an offense and defense this good ever.
Is Brady getting older at 37? Of course. Can he still be elite? I think so. Are Brady and the front office/coaches at odds? Maybe. Is the team being torn apart because the patriot way is too cheap to bring in the pieces to put another run together? Absolutely not. IMO.
One of my favorite parts of the game was seeing replays of how big the pocket was around Brady. My first thought was "that pocket is bigger than Brady's living room". Looks liek the O-line is going to be fine. Buffalo will be a very good test to be sure this will continue.
railed on is probably better..."ran the train on" is probably the best. Collinsworth even quoted the famous Mark Twain line "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated" when referring to the media attacking Brady's "failing/diminshing" skills.
