It's kind of cool how the three best QBs in the AFC are the three last QBs remaining in the playoffs on the AFC side: Rivers, Brady, Manning.
Defense is less of a factor in the AFC this year, whereas in the NFC a guy like Russell Wilson can beat a much better QB in Drew Brees by riding his...
Yes, I heard the same. It's totally disrespectful of the Chargers, who by the way beat the Broncos in Denver 5 weeks ago; the only team to do so this season. Yet, everyone's acting as if it's a guaranteed Pats/Broncos AFC Championship game. Hopefully this will piss off the Chargers players...
Why would you want to risk Manning getting anywhere near a second superbowl? If he gets passed the Chargers, there's a chance he might beat the Pats and get his second superbowl, after which the media will proclaim him the greatest of all time. They've been itching to do it his whole career...
I know that my comments will come across as being a homer, since I'm a charger fan but I honestly don't see any reason not to pick the Chargers as the favorite for this game.
We held Denver to 28 or less points both games that we played them. In the last game we've dominated them on both...
Other teams also depend on you guys winning, like my Chargers. Today I'm a Patriots fan. We need that last wildcard spot. We did you guys a favor by beating the Broncos to give you the #1 seed, now please return the favor by beating the Dolphins and Ravens.
Looking at it in a positive way, the fact that you lost by only 3 points after Brady threw 4 interceptions, speaks volumes about how good the Pats are. You can have that many turnovers and still be in it at the end.
Yea, Cutler is a real whimp. He wanted to bow out of the game because he was playing terrible in the first half. Rivers understood that he gave the Chargers a better chance of winning with a torn ACL in the AFCC game than a fully healthy Billy Volek would. It didn't work out for us, but at...
Watching that again, it's easy to see why Rivers threw that interception. From his point of view it looked like Wilfork was being blocked. Wilfork never really came at him so he was able to drop back into coverage at the last possible second to get that interception. Smart play on Wilfork's part.
What are you talking about? When did Rivers trash talk yesterday? You must have been watching another game because I saw the whole thing and I didn't see him do that once.
Yes. Discussion of the next opponent should really start around Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday are for dissecting the most recent victory or loss. That's how it is on most football forums.
Yea, I'm hungry too. But, it would be time for breakfast for me here in San Diego. Interestingly enough, since San Diego is such a large transplant city due to the weather and beaches, there's a lot of Patriots fans living here as well as fans of other teams. So there might be some other...
My point in starting this thread wasn't to brag about Rivers getting 300+ passing yards in 3 straight games against the pats. But rather my surprise that another QB hadn't done it already. I expected Peyton Manning to have done it considering how many times he's played you guys in shootouts.
Brady didn't miss Welker on that pass. Go back and watch it. On the replay you'll see that Shawn Phillips slightly tipped the ball, causing it to go off target. Welker had to try and twist his body back around to catch it.
Yes. We like Malcolm Floyd here in SD...when he's playing. Most games he'll make some impressive catches then limp off to the sideline and stay out of the game for the rest of it, like we saw yesterday. He's too injury prone. Vincent Jackson on the other hand just keeps getting better and...
