No one that matters thinks the Pats should pick Pearsall that high. McConkey maybe but not Pearsall. He’s A LOT more likely to be mocked with 3rd round pick but not 2nd. And in 3rd round case it’s because the other receivers are unlikely to still be there.
Strongly disagree that with Slater, Higgins (no one is giving up 34th overall pick for one year rental, c’mon now) and a vet QB, and possibly a solid rookie taking over half way through, that we end up with the top pick.

Yes I agree with what you say but new sheriff in town and if he trades Herbert (might lose his job haha) and takes JJ McCarthy they may move Slater. If he gets moved though it may be next year but Pats offer of a first would be thought provoking. Stranger things have happened.
Slater is in his prime and would be a top 5 pick this year. The Bolts may again have cap issues in 2025 and Slater is due for big contract. If we also trade for Higgins (a 2nd this year), who has requested a trade, we are not a top 5 pick team next year.
Let’s not forget Cousins got hurt last year and before that Osborn had to battle Jefferson, Hockenson and Thielen for targets. Yeah definitely under the radar signing.
