uh oh...looks like AndyJohnson is in danger of being usurped in his role as the Pats' Primary Propagandist. Where were you with this "Breaking PR news", chuckles?! :singing: Oh Enlightened One.....
Where is Dr. Jesse Jupiter and what is his opinion? Dr. Jupiter was Gronk's hand chosen surgeon to do the surgery after the infection and has no association with the Pats. Why is Dr. Andrews and not Dr. Jupiter advising Gronk about the forearm at this point? Has Dr. Jupiter cleared Gronk to play...
...and here is the resident sunshine pumper-in-chief to the rescue, with his daily dose of nonsensical optimism. Of course you're correct, chief...I am sure that the article is WAAAY off-base, and there is not a single drop of mistrust or resentment toward Gronk ANYWHERE in the Pats locker...
Per the Werder article, for those who don't have full Insider Access:
"Teammates and coaches have seen him run patterns, catch passes, use his arm to pass protect, run block and to separate from defenders at the line of scrimmage, and they doubt a doctor would allow so much contact if there...
per WCCP-FM, Walt Deptula NFL podcast:
Tight end Rob Gronkowski's continued absence from the New England Patriots' lineup has escalated tension among teammates who have begun to regularly confront him about why he's not playing and left some wondering if he intends to play at all this season...
lol, that is kinda the point. The coaches, his teammates, the Patriots front office, etc. all feel that Gronk SHOULD be back right now, i.e. NO ONE is asking him to "rush it." Everyone feels at THIS point, that he is just being unreasonable and making this ALL ABOUT GRONK. You do realize...
^^^^yep, that just about sums it up. Schefter reported in his podcast today that the team "expected" Gronk to "definitely" play this Sunday, but after speaking to him today, it now looks like he is not going to. Make of that what you will. Sounds to me like he just said "no."
yep, sounds like it, Jlaff. Pretty clear by now that he Pats (via their medical staff) have been trying to pressure Gronk to play, which he refuses to do UNLESS and UNTIL his personally selected doctors give him the green light. I gotta admit, it seems reasonable to me. It is his body and...
Per Schefter, Mortensen and Glazer....Gronk is OUT for Sunday. Apparently the team wanted him to play, but he refused to play without getting cleared first by his own doctors, who subsequently refused to clear him. Stay tuned, folks.
Rob Gronkowski not expected to play Sunday for New...
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, recovering after a series of surgeries on his fractured forearm and ailing back, still has not been cleared to play by Dr. James Andrews, according to ESPN and media reports. Moreover, there was less optimism Friday that he will play Sunday against...
Gront AIN'T PLAYING. Situation is worse than imagined. Return this season still up in air.
Rob Gronkowski has not yet been cleared to play Sunday for New England Patriots, according to reports - ESPN Boston
With all due respect, it goes much deeper than that, RIpats. The infection might have PERMANENTLY WEAKENED the bone, which means that Gronk may never be the same player he was prior to the surgery.
yep, that is what Deadspin is reporting. Apparently, the Gronk clan is pretty p*ssed at BOTH the Pats organization and Dr. Gill. They feel that: a-the surgery wasn't necessary b-the bone would have healed by now if it had been permitted to heal naturally/on its own c-the infection caused...
dude, your thread just wasn't funny. it wasn't offensive or shocking....it's just that..well, it wasn't haha funny or the least bit clever/witty. just move on.
