You have to be careful with statistics here. Part of the reason a QB sitting a year might be helpful is that, typically, it's because the team has the luxury of doing that and is a competitive team in that transition period.
Brissett will likely be the QB and they’ve got guys who have played OT in the NFL for years
This idea of h getting the rookie killed is overblown, imo.
There were a few D players I wish they had nabbed - a couple of DTs and DEs/OLBs. A corner or two and a safety.
Thing is, if you're trying to develop younger players and bring in high-ed FAs, those snaps disappear. On D, I want Uche and Jennings (and White!) to get snaps.
On O, no way I give...
Austin was great last year. Looked like he belonged, for sure.
Did some reading on Marco Wilson, too. Looks legit. And I like Bokden a lot.
Let the kids shine!
I won't call you crazy at all.
Last year, I looked at the team and the schedule and predicted they;d be better but only get 6 wins. They would have over-performed that prediction if they had even half-decent QB play. The culture shattered - the "star" QB was on the sidelines laughing while the...
Whiffed?
JEST offered him a contract up to $20m. They also offer Aaron Rodgers. They're all in this year.
I don't get where the Pats should grab 33 year old (or 32 - Allen) at this point in a rebuild. Rent-a-star is for teams ready to make a run. This team isn't it.
They missed on a few...
If they trade down (don't think they will) and get 11 and 23, I think 11 would STILL be a QB, and Alt will be long gone by 23, probably by 11.
No, they need a QB. They'll take who they most like with their first pick, I expect, then might even take a Jordan Travis or Rattler later on as insurance.
You don't go out and publicly trash Bill then. Take ownership (pun intended, though not really a pun) of a decision that HE, Kraft, had to agree with.
Kraft's screwed up twice. First with letting Brady walk (just give him the contract EARLIER when he wanted it!), and now with trying to pull a...
He's a weasel.
He could have kept Brady if he wanted. Full stop. He could have said to BB: "Look, this is about the fans as much as anything, and they want Brady retiring here, and I want Tommy retiring here. He's staying and he's playing. Make it work."
Instead, he whines. I've lost so much...
With all the really good WRs in the draft, I don't believe that.
I was surprised when I saw the trade (thought Minni won it cleanly), though, so maybe there's something to your point.
