The best the 32-team market would do for Mac was a 6th.
The best the market would do for Fields was a 6th with upgrade to a 4th based on playing time.
It says to me it was a struggle to find just one team willing to give a training camp slot to these guys.
More likely to be on the practice...
You're saying we should put resources into older players like Allen and Smith with notable injury histories? Why?
Spend the cap space once we have a good core. Adding older players just to sit in the tub isn't going to help anyone/anything.
Yep, just look at the Jets. Le'Veon Bell. Late-period Darelle Revis. Santonio Holmes. Trumaine Johnson.
For some recent and not-so-top signings, Alan Lazard and Mecole Hardman stand out.
A lot of the posts in this thread remind me of last year's OBJ thread.
Damn, just say no!
Good point. These are young people still developing in pretty much every way. No one knew Brady was a "generational talent" on draft day, yet he was. So many of the "can't miss" prospects do miss.
I like it when it is used correctly. Same for GOAT. Yet, far too often it is an exaggeration.
PS: The big ol' MUTE button is getting a real workout in this thread!
From what I see, LA outright abandons teams that don't do well.
To me that's more fickle than *****ing about a team rain or shine.
That's closer to the mark.
From what I see LA just moves on to something else, we stay and suffer.

IDK, it seems like adults should be able to cope with the idea that not every thought they have is embraced by others.
You soon learn who are the mindless poo-flingers.
If it gets too intense and people are being aggressively stupid, just use one of the many tools this forum has to mute/block...
Yeah, there is sooo much bro/jock talk in all the recent podcasts from athletes.
I feel it's a real window into how they talk to each other, and IMO it is entertaining, up to a point.
I feel Julian is good at it, and given his background, I'm interested in a lot of the same things he is...
I agree, we should keep trying till we hit.
In hindsight the mistake wasn't picking Mac, the mistake was not realizing Mac wasn't the answer sooner.
If anyone thinks FA can solve your problems, then explain why this poo-poo platter seems tasty to you:
Given you need a franchise-level QB to...
I agree in hindsight that BB's 'plan' to go with MP and JG was something that can/should get a HC fired. I also feel that giving important roles to his sons was a sign that his motivation was different than it had been in the past. The fact that he only got one team to show interest in him...
So many questions. Is it up to him? Is it about not working as hard as he could/should? Can he teach himself to handle pressure any better than he currently does? Does he really have the tools to be more than what he already is? Or maybe after reasonably long stints at Alabama and NE and...
