Sadly I think we're witnessing the twilight of Brady's career and his greatness is slowly fading away like a sunset. Sure we'll still see some spectacular moments but the darkness is likely approaching.
Well of course it's partially sarcastic. BUT ... they are closer to a business partner relationship than an owner/employee relationship IMO. If it were nothing but an owner/employee relationship the owners could have come out and given whatever pay cut they wanted.
For those of you shocked the players wouldn't accept such a "great" offer, please re-read and tell me where the $1 billion the owners are taking away is discussed. Here's the cliff notes version for you. It's not.
Goodell has been making $11.2 million a year since he took over in 2006. I don't think he'll be struggling to make ends meet if he doesn't collect a paycheck this year. It's not like he's out at the strip clubs making it rain.
That was nothing but an empty attempt to gain public opinion.
Business Partner 1: I need $1 Billion.
Business Partner 2: Why?
Business Partner 1: OK, I need $800 Million.
Business Partner 2: Why?
Business Partner 1: OK, I need $600 Million.
Business Partner 2: Why?
Business Partner 1: You're being ridiculous.
It was obviously relevant to the conversation we were having. I am sorry you cannot handle an adult topic, and that's why I won't get into the details of how it was relevant. I also find it funny that the guy who gets all bent out of shape discussing something adults discuss on a regular basis...
I'm sorry, I didn't see the rule that said I cannot claim to be straight, especially in the context of my preference of getting raped over shot in the head. I tried to PM this to you but I don't have enough posts. Sorry for the thread derailing, I'm done.
I doubt anything comes of this considering the incident happened on 02/27 and we're just hearing about it now, but how do you figure shooting a gun at people's heads is less heinous than rape? I mean they're both awful, but I can only assume the intent of one is to kill.
Faulk was great for us, but to be honest I'd rather move on and stick with Danny boy for now. He filled the role perfectly and has more play maker in him.
