That happened for Vereen's whole college career. QB and OL play has been inconsistent at best while he was at Cal (easily the two weakest positions on the team) so defenders would almost always stack the box against the run and he managed to still get plenty of yards running behind a weak OL. I...
Don't forget Jahvid Best. He ran the 100m in 10.31 secs and averaged over 8 yards a carry last year and is the most explosive college player since Reggie Bush.
my binky Zack Follett went in the 7th round, but i didn't realize he had failed his physical. Cal switched to a 3-4 defense last year specifically to feature this guy as a pass rushing OLB and he played great but ended up with a neck stinger injury which makes me worry that he is the next andy...
good points. BB and company aren't new to the draft game either and must have thought that there was a team that might have taken vollmer if they waited to the later rounds. I remember that when Mankins was drafted, many draft gurus said that he could be had in later rounds but then it was...
I like Greene, Casey and Johnson. Also, even though Zack Follett is projected to go in the 4th-6th rounds, i'd pull the trigger with a 3rd rounder to get him...he's a beast! lol
Actually, I'm calling him "Seabass." lol. This guy's a physical freak with a high ceiling so I think in a few years we are going to be very happy that we got him.

Mike Jenkins. Even with his nice 40 times, I don't think he is worth a #7 with his inconsistent effort on the field. If we go with CB at #7, i'd rather take Rodgers-Cromartie, Cason, or McKelvin.
