Guess my little joke got me restricted from my other post but just wanted to say hello to a few posters who wished me well and remembered (and forgave) me from my time here years ago.
Just to address one thing from the other thread, Jesse James is just a guy. Having Green back at TE would help...
Obviously I am biased but I think Tomlin handled it well. Brown had to be put in his place. Brown started airing it publicly so Tomlin responded in kind.
I am puzzled why the Steelers haven;t put Williams and Bell out at the same time. Bell is probably the second best receiver on the team at this point. And I think it may throw the Patriots off bringing Willaims in who will just find a crease and hit it hard.
What's up Massholes? (I am one too so GFY).
Been years since I came on here, two kids later and I am back for a AFCG.
The scripts seemed flipped this year as far as how both teams will/should approach the game. If my Steelers want to win I think they need to be patient, taking the underneath...
You must not be from the Boston area. This is just how it is. It is in the nature of the fans. It would be like asking Philly fans not to fight or Cowboys fans who think like Charlie Brown and that this time the ball won;t be pulled away at the last second by Lucy. My family still complains...
This was the first year they re-acquired players after letting them go. In the past they never did that. They re-sign their core guys and let the others go if those players want too much money. This year they got good deals for Foote, Randle El and McFadden to come back.
Regarding the 2006...
Holmes is better than Edwards and it is not even close. How many games did Holmes win at the end for the Jets this year? 4? 5? What did Edwards do? Edwards has always dropped passes. This year was the anomoly.
As a Steeler fan I will chime in. He is an unbelievable talent, great hands, extremely elusive in the open field and one of the best YAC receivers. FRom all accounts in Pittsburgh, he was a good teammate. He is, however, rather selfish and immature. I was upset when the Steelers released him...
For one I joined a long time before you did. And second, I didn't believe what I said was trolling. I honestly don't see how one can even argue the point. And almost all unbiased observers agree the Harrison hit was fine and the Merriweather hit was dirty.
Maybe cause the Merriweather hit was downright dirty and the Harrison hit was legal. Brandon should have apologized. James Harrison had nothing to apologize for. I don't see how you can look at those two hits and think any differently.
Yeah so? It's football. A war. The most violent team does usually win, you know, the game is won and lost in the trenches, yada, yada, yada.
If you are going to throw the little crossing routes receivers are going to get lit up. If that is part of your offensive gameplan then you have to...
I have no problem with the OT rules as they are.
I do, however, think making OT the first one to six would make it more exciting.
The college system isn't even football IMHO. It's more like homerun derby.
I think Miami stinks. Buffalo lost to the Browns at Home. Tennessee's secondary has fallen apart. If they do start Vince Young then they have given up on the season.
Strength of schedule is a worthless stat as it is based on last season. Miami, a division-winner last year stinks this year...
The defense surely isn't the same without Polamalu, though they have been pretty solid for the first 3 quarters of games and then something happens when they have a lead. LB Timmons high ankle sprain has taken away a lot of team speed as well.
It's silly to compare schedules but I think NE...
