Here's how to get your news: follow beat writers and analysts on twitter directly. I'm talking Mike Reiss, Mike Loyko, Matt Chatham (his website footballbyfootball is great), Chris price, jeff howe, ben volin, mije giardi, etc. Follow the people they retweet often - Evan Silva, Schefter, etc...
Wes Welker in his prime was nearly uncoverable within 10/15 yards on the inside. How many times did we see him catch a ball through traffic inches off the ground over and over and over again?
Edelman is a more versatile player, plays better on the outside, and might be overall superior, but...
I would like us to go with 6 OL first to pound the rock and get the Seattle DL moving backwards a little and then slowly shifting to spread once they've got the threat of the run established. If Seattle starts beating us up front early it'll be tough to settle things again.
My feeling is if Goodell wanted to sweep this under the rug he would've put a sock into it ASAP and done so. Investigating for days and letting the team take heat like this for this long probably means a fine is coming.
They will need to run the ball. IMO their receivers are simply not that good. Strong man coverage can shut down their pass game, particularly if they show up only with Moaeki at TE.
I actually think Pioli and Dimittroff are reasons NOT to go to Atlanta.
Pioli stunk at the end of his tenure here and Dimitroff hasn't been great roster building for Atlanta either
Despite how bad he is now its hard to believe osweiller will be any better. Unless they want to join the jay cutler sweepstakes, which would be hilarious.
Arm is clearly cooked, but with someone of his caliber you have to give him a full year of suck before giving up on him. I think whatever injury he has is making his arm look even worse than it is.
He's still good enough to beat anyone. He'll be around next year.
Players like Brady and Manning deserve at least a season's worth of poor play before getting serious doubt IMO.
Given his stellar career I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps injury.
